BIO
A native of Williamsburg, Virginia, Marika is an alumna of the Adler Fellowship Program as a Pianist/Coach at San Francisco Opera, and is a Doctoral Candidate in Collaborative Piano at Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music. She has been on music staff at San Francisco Opera, Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, Palm Beach Opera, and New Orleans Opera. Upcoming engagements include working at Santa Fe Opera and Lyric Opera of Chicago. She currently holds a position as vocal coach at San Francisco Conservatory.
Ms. Yasuda maintains an active schedule collaborating with vocalists and instrumentalists. Recent performances include concerts at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, War Memorial Hall, Davies Symphony Hall, Green Music Center, and the Mondavi Center. She has held fellowships at the prestigious Merola Opera Program, Ravinia’s Steans Music Institute, the Tanglewood Music Center, SongFest, and the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, among others.
